you've gotta be kidding me..... REd Sox are 6th in team payroll, and Cubs 11th... $99.9 million & $79.8 million respectively. And the Cubs have tacked on to that figure with all the mid-season acquisition.

How about Marlins/Athletics? That's more like it.

nah. cubs finish with a mediocre record. atlanta in triple digits. yet what does atlanta get for its great season? one extra home game. wow, thanks.
it stinks when consistent teams lose in these 3-out-of-5ers.

The Marlins take the first four from a fatigued Cubs team, and so starting a rivalry that lasts until the end of baseball. The cubs never again get a chance at the series. Chicago tears down Wrigley-unable to lift The Curse of the Fish. Anyone who thinks the cubs will take it is wishfully thinking. If you've seen how the fish have been playing as of late there should be no doubt. Wood and Prior aren't enough. The cubs dont have the hitting or bullpen that they'll need to beat the Marlins. And most importantly they dont have the fire that it will take to make it out of this series. The cubs have to be the least exciting team to watch, while the Marlins could be the most fun to watch. They're a dangerous and aggressive team. No doubt-Marlins/Yankees series. McKeon-Coach of the Year/Time Magazines Man of the Year.
