Dropped the ball in the Baseball playoffs missing the Florida game as I underestimated Penny’s prowess (or lack of) of late and did not imagine the Marlins would lie down as easily as they did. I did hit my top finding on the Red Sox allowing my best bet to start the playoffs in the right direction.

Tonight there is no Top Finding in baseball but I did examine this game tonight. The Red Sox look like another solid value play at the high price with Lowe on the hill and the sleepy lumber of Ramirez and Ortiz awakening, but Pettite is a workhorse for this game and could easily single handedly win this game for the Yankees tonight. I am also a bit hesitant after last night’s results with the Cubs/Marlins. I had reported that home teams rebound well after losing game one of the series, but I thought the marlins would still get the edge and the win, not being satisfied with a win, and I was dead wrong. Tonight to think the Yankees won’t follow suit as they have in the past would be to completely dismiss the trends that have occurred this year in the playoffs.

The examination did reveal the play tonight would be on over the total. The top four hitters in the Yankee lineup were without a hit last night and the total was still finished at seven and I do not expect they go quietly tonight. The Red Sox have also woken up at the plate and will put runs on the board. The weather report looks the same for tonight and we can expect similar results which means more long balls and the over to come in, both pitchers have averaged seven runs of support in the last three starts. This is not a top finding but a solid play in my opinion.

Remember my post from yesterday? Marlin's Vs Great Pitching = ???

However, I was on them thinking that it might be close and could be anybody's game. I was on the over, so the cubbies covered that by the 4th inning.

Yanks were just that, "a yank", handjob, blank. Went through a few units with them and the total. Looking for a solid rebound tonight, fade a few trends...
