WHAT ARE BETTING SYNDICATES?...

Just to clarify things, I wanted to shed some light and explain to you guys what I know about "Betting Syndicates". Simply put, Syndicates are a group of professional gamblers with a lot more money than most have, pooling their resources and betting massive amounts on games. They have the funds to hire the very best handicappers money can buy (not sports services, but legit handicappers) and get information most "sports services" only dream about. The only problem sometimes is that they may pound a game hard to drive the line up, only to come back later and play the opposite side for the "middle". This would explain why sometimes you see what the Syndicates are playing and there is no line movement, and other times the line moves like crazy! They are not "game fixers" but occasionally they may recieve information that is not public knowledge or in the newspapers. This is not claiming bullsh*t like you might here from Stu Fiener or some of the "boiler room" operations out there (guys that give one side of a game to you and the other side to me). These guys do not win every day, every week, or every month but they do win over time in all sports. Just like tonight for example they had two pretty solid plays in the NHL and I don't watch Hockey nor do I have any knowledge of the game but I played those two games because I know that info (selections) was solid. That doesn't mean I will win but if I stick with the plays they will over the "long haul". Anyway, didn't mean to be so "long winded" but I wanted anyone out there to get a grasp of what "Syndicates" are about.

Good luck to all,
DAWG

Can you tell us how you get this info? Is it available to others?

BTW- NJ has 27 shots on goal to 6 for Boston. Score is 2-0 in the 2nd period.

dawg...
How would someone know that it's a syndicate play if there is no line movement?I assume that you get these plays from someone that in the syndicate.
Or are you going by the line moves? And if you are how would you know they are not setting up a middle?
Sometimes i bet on games when i see a line moving down and i jump on the dog somewere that didn"t move the line down yet.Not that i know it's a syndicate play, but i do know that the public loves playing the favs.So i figure that somebody knows more than me and i jump on it.
Should i assume that some of these plays are syndicate plays?
I am always willing to learn...thanks!
Great topic by the way !!!!

guys, this is nothing new.

a lot of syndicates lose, lose some more, lose their ass, then disband only to reconfigure with a couple of different pieces on down the road.

their are dozens of so-called syndicates at any one time.

their are even MORE groups that try to sell information by SAYING they are syndicates...what better way to tout?

a lot of the syndicates dont do well b/c they fail to adapt to the changing market.

Hell, I had access to BW's plays and they pretty much sucked for a while, I was lucky in the fact that I do my own thing and dont really care who is on what.

My question: what is the name of this syndicate, what region are they out of, and where did you find out about them, and how do you get your information????

The best syndicate in the world gives its opinion every day, is available 24 hours a day, is free and is so obvious that it is overlooked by 99% of the people.

It's called pinnaclesports.com

The sheer volume of the sports market these days as well as line services such as donbest have been eroding the syndicates' primary weapon, the ability of moving the line one way so that they may come back the other.

I fade syndicate plays all the time as their moves create plays I would otherwise pass on.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! I hope that what I am about to say want be blown out of porportion, or get slammed from guys on the forum cause I'm not tryin to sell anything but with all of the scams and stuff going on out there you never know...But basically, I have a source that recieves info from some of the "runners" which are the guys that actually go and lay the money down in Vegas, local, etc.. so that no one book really gets hit hard all at one time. Now obviously you guys know that over time I'm sure there are certain books that know the runners and will adjust the line accordingly when they play, but the objective is to diversify X number of dollars (i.e. play $50k at 5 books for $10k each instead of one at $50k) at different locations. So my source is in with one of the "runners" and that runner obviously knows other ones and they share the info. I mean whatever your occupation is in life, then you know someone else in that same field right? So thru a network of some type these plays are passed to my source and I recieve the plays. The contact he has tells him what games are being "middled" and which are actual plays (i.e. steam plays) amnd the amounts that are being played on these games which in turn determines the strength of the game. Guys I promise I am not someone trying to get attention from this thread. It's just you get on here each day and see some of these touts and bulls*it artist and it makes you sick!
So knowing the info I have access to makes me pass it along to help others out. I don't play real large amounts on games so it want effect me if everybody on the forum plays these games cause by the time I recieve them they have already been "hit" and the line has moved. Other ways to obtain this info would be to know someone at a local book, etc. that would tip you on his players that play the "steam" types of games at his shop (obviously a contact that you could trust) and throw him some greenback for his info..

BTW,

one of the things that true syndicates hate the most is HAVING THEIR PLAYS LEAKED, and most have ways of spotting this and stopping it. I'm not saying that you arent getting your plays from a true syndicate, as I dont know, but it is real easy to set up a service under the guise of a syndicate, give them away for free for a while and if they do well charge for them etc. etc. etc.

The original computer group started this stuff in the early 80's. They win some, and lose some, but the real money comes from middles created by their own money. The bet early, moving numbers, only to buy back later. It actually does'nt matter which side is the right side, when you have a 3 or 4 point (or more) middle. College baskets is a big money maker, mainly because it is easier to move numbers there, than in either college football or even worse The NFL.

ATX:

You mention a good syndicate, that being pinnaclesports. But one thing I would like to point out, that both you and I agree upon, is that line moves by themselves are not necessarily an indicator of the way to bet. I just didn't want someone to go out to their web site and start betting based upon line moves.

wil, my point exactly. the thing with baskets tho is that the scoring frequency is much higher plus they can score in 1's, 2's, and 3's so +6/-4 in baskets can be very good, in football the 5 is almost worthless. the computer group's main strength was/is being able to move the numbers with their financial leverage, now a lot of people know their signature and know they are moving it for buy back and can beat them to it, ruining the strategy to a certain extent.

BGO, I know several people who pretty much only play off Pinnacle's opinion. You have to know what you are doing, and I do it all the time. I also handicap, but I use this angle to a certain extent. There is a fine line between them trying to balance their book and baiting the betting public to the wrong side, this is where handicapping is crucial in figuring out the scenarios. There is one item where I know they are right over 58% of the time.

I think it's good to share info like this, dont get me wrong. But just be careful and dont think their is a guarantee they will win. I was puzzled last NBA basketball season with all the strange line moves, it only makes sense that some groups out there did not have a good season--they didnt. A couple of guys that I am close to were involved with some of these groups, some of these groups are stubborn and fail to adapt and dont do well because they dont change their analysis with the different playing styles, refereeing, personnell, any number of changing factors every year. A lot of times people lose their edge when they get involved with these groups, they feel to secure and their is a 'herd mentality'. Not always, but just my 2 cents. Syndicates dont always have the best winning percentages, just the best financial backing.

Beware of false syndicates, here is a letter i used to resd to customers who called at there homes when i was evil adn got lured intio the business. Hi ia am with hoosier sports and we have a deal for you on the monday night game. Or you down this week, well do not worry we will get you out of the hole. How much do you play Thomas, can you step up to 5.000 for this play, we have a man in the Bears locker room with inside info. Have you heard of betting syndicates Thomas, we have fifty players who or betting 100.000 each, and or getting ready to put the money in the bag and take it to lay it on a sure winner, do youhave MC or visa Thomas, let me have the card number and shoot me 5.000. Of course Thomas only played 25 dollars a game but i only had to get one sucker to jump and i made my day. Of course i gave out both sides. Think people who can predict if the field goal kicker had a bad lunch or a lineman tips a Marino pass that would have been a TD but goes the other way. Have fun play your own games handicap them yourself at least you can not blame anyone else.

Guys, just simply tryin to respond to questions some "newbies" had..I know to the ones of us that have been around for a while that this is "old news". I am not trying to re-invent the wheel, but when I was posting a "Syndicate Play" guys that were new didn't know what Syndicates were, so I tried to clarify. Anyway, I have been here for almost 2 years (not a lot of posts) and have never one time tried to solicit anything nor changed my name as many in the past have. At this point I doubt I will post anymore of these plays because I don't want anything I do to be taken the wrong way. This is 100% true as to what I said about the Syndicate Plays and I will stand behind that. I am not a Panther, BallBreaker, etc. that is tryin to rip or con anyone, but to do something totally free, and time consuming for the forum and to be critizied for it definitely isn't worth it..No hard feelings toward anyone or any certain post that replied. My hat is off to the ones of you that appreciated the info and made worth the while for me...

Good luck to all,

GL this season Dawg, do you ever go thru Athens-Ala?

Does your runner buddy know the diffrence of when he makes plays for pocket, whether it is his group's real plays, number buys, number-building, or order-filling for others via his office?..many runners are kept in the dark by their groups.

Hey DAWG...Sorry to hear, but don't blame you. You have helped me with some basic understanding, whether or not I follow any plays is of course up to me. You might try posting down in the Rubber Room Forum under the TFZ daily thread, they seem to appreciate this type of info.

DAWG, don't let one or two flamers discourage you from posting this info. Trust me when I say it is appreciated by the vast, but mainly silent, majority.
