Pedro # of pitches thrown 104.5.

I am thinking he goes over this. I imagine he would at least pitch through the 7th inning. Little would much rather have him to close a game than anyone in their bullpen. Also, I can see NY being a more patient tonite and try to increase his pitch count, the same way Florida did to Wood last night.

Thoughts??

vegas- I don't think you have a lot of value here. I haven't seen that prop yet in the Yankees series. I did play it in the Oakland series. Pedro Martinez started 2 games vs Oakland. The prop in his first start was 121 pitches and I played it under. It fell 130. Todd "Hands of Stone" Walker cost me that one when he threw away that inning ending double play ball and extended the inning by 3 batters. Had he turned that double play, the inning was over and Martinez would not have started the next inning.

In his second start vs the A's, the prop was 122 and I played it under again and after he had clearly lost his velocity and threw 2 meatballs to the first two A's hitters in the top of the 8th, Grady Little took him out at about 110 pitches or so.

So to me the 104 1/2 is a little low and I would pass it.

BOB: So it sounds like you think it should go over, but the line of 104.5 seems too low, so possibly a trap?
