Look what happened with the Redsox losing the way they did, and all the scrutiny about Pedro staying in the 8th inning. I realize, the disappointment as anyone, but I cannot understand the

Firing of Grady Little over that one situation. That guy has brought more unity to a Redsox clubhouse than existed in 10 years. Come on lets face it, this team is full of characters, a FEW HIGH Maintenance characters. This guy, regardless of the disppointment of that one game, created a club house where people stuck together, and rallied around each other. Where everyone's identity and ideosynchrocies were allowed to exist as long as it did not harm the team. HE BUILT A TEAM, AND THE MORALE OF TEAMWORK.

You bring in a hard ass like a Valentine (who does know baseball very well) and you will have decension. You have to stick with this guy.

But Grady is not sue he wants to come back.

He says the same people Hugging and Kissing him 24 hours prior from the organization would not lay eyes on him the next day.

And one last comment.

What in the hell ever happened to a tough pitcher anyways. I mean PEDRO with all his antics, is not worthy enough on his owne ability to finish the game or asked to be removed. You are a damned if you do or damned if you don't manager in that situation. Pedro desearved wither to win that game or Lose it.

And he LOST it, not Grady Little

The reason Little won't be returning isn't due to his ineptness as a major league baseball manager in game 7, it's because of his ineptness over the past two season. The fact that the Sox front office had not given him a contract extension prior to the post season proves that point.

Throughout the last two years he has made one bonehead decision after another -- he is an EXCELLENT player's manager, yet a HORRIBLE in game manager. The horrendous game 7 loss was the icing on the cake -- there's no reason to give an extension to a man who made that moronic of a decision. Had Little lost 2-1 or even 14-0, he would have been commended on his job with the Sox and been offered a 2 year deal.

Pedro was quoted as saying "I will NEVER give up the ball when I'm pitching." You'd think the manager of the team would know this and be able to make a rational decision based on how his pitcher was throwing, not based on what Pedro had told him on the mound. Little let a player dictate the outcome of that game when it should have been his decision. Yes, Pedro did blow the lead (he is now a 7 inning pitcher, no more) -- but he should have never been in that position in the first place.

I do agree that Bobby Valentine is a horrible decision. The man is in love with himself and would create havok in the clubhouse within his first month. As far as I know the Sox #1 priority is Angels pitching coach Bud Black.

We'll see how it plays out.

Hear youloud and clear Mr Bing,

You make some good points, I guess I missed all his other bone head managerial moves. Help meoutwith some details on those.

I guess my point is this Pedro without a doubt makes a split club house, and then addin Manny and now Ortiz who Ilove both dearly, you have racial tension potential. Jimmy Williams and Kerrigan did zero to build team unity, and everyone just collected pay checks.

Ok so Little has to go, but at least Little went tobat for his team with the media, and at least it was enjoyable to see smiles in the dug out, versus finger pointing, and we all know what finger pointing does for a Boston journalist......chum for sharks.

You have to have the best of both worlds, or the collection of paychecks will return....with no heart.

Hey I am up fortrading Pedro, send him to Florida for Pavano or Burkett....and because I am not a die hard baseball fan ( follow every trade or stat) Who did the Redsox get in return for Pavano when they gave him up....I amsure well gone by now.
