I read today on chicagotribune.com in the cubs section that sosa might go to the skankees. and lofton may not be back. omg, please say it ain't so.

The Cubs can better spend the $17 million than on a aging power hitter. They would be much better with Patterson there. Remember, he was batting third when he tore his knee up.

As a once diehard Cub Fan, I am sad to see Shammy staying with the team. I love when trouble finds him and his English becomes increasingly more broken with each probing question. If they were smart, they would let him go and use the money elsewhere. I have trouble rooting for them anymore.

Don't forget that Patterson was playing very well in center field before he got hurt. I'd rather have Patterson than Lofton anyday. Kenny ain't getting any younger. It's good to see Sammy stay put. The General is correct in saying Sosa=cubs. What I find hard to accept is that Clement got all those millions. They must have been smokin' some good stuff when they offered Matt those digets
