New York Newsday reported Tuesday that the Rangers recently discussed a huge, three-team trade that involved Rodriguez and Boston Red Sox All-Star shortstop Nomar Garciaparra.

According to the paper, the discussions centered around the Rangers sending Rodriguez to Boston. The Red Sox would then deal Garciaparra to Anaheim, with the Angels shipping shortstop David Eckstein and a few pitchers to the Rangers.

this is the 2nd time this rumor has come up. the first time manny was the chip, now its a 3 way. something tells me BOS really wants this to happen.

also:November 10
Boston Globe: "In his search for a starting pitcher, Epstein may target one of the elite free agents on the market -- lefty Andy Pettitte, for example, who is expected to either re-sign with the Yankees or consider signing with his hometown Houston Astros, Kevin Millwood, or Bartolo Colon -- but it's just as likely he'll explore a deal for Montreal's coveted righthander Javier Vazquez or a young up-and-comer like Edwin Jackson of the Dodgers."

& also: the sox are either trying to aqquire kieth folcum or eddie gaurardo of the twins as a closer.

i cant even wait to see the '04 team that theo fields. his first year, he builds an offense that breaks an over half a century old slugging % record. the '04 sox team is going to be rediculous
