KC seems to be best team in the AL cental. They have added "missing piece" free agents in Juangone and Benito Santiago and some relief pitchers, and resigned their key guys. Their surprise pitching staff is intact. Minny has lost two of their starting pitchers and the White Sox have lost their ace.

KC is 50:1 to win the w.s. in most places. I think they are a good value. Anyone agree?

Been playing PHILLIES, SAN DIEGO PADRES AND
KANSAS CITY ROYALS THE PAST FEW WEEKS.

Great Value. Nice work in posting and giving the Heads Up.

KANSAS CITY AT 28-1 FOR AL AND 50-1 FOR WS.

Shop around. Found KC at 60-1 a few places and took a small play at 100-1 back in November.

Phillies at 18-1 and Padres at 25-1 and 50-1 at this time.

I also see Canbet still has the Angels 17:1 to win the w.s. Most places have dropped them to 10:1 or less after they landed Vlad.

Pitching is adead number.Colon isn't a great one anymore.I really think he is done.He sure doesn't strike out too many any more. They need big help with starting pitching.

I think Anaheim is the fav to win their division. Both Sea and Oak have lost some pitching. Tex is still a mess.

i see the royals at 5.5:1 to win the a.l. central at bet365. i like that bet much better than the world series bet...no way they get past the yanks or red sox.

If anyone likes Anaheim, Bodog has them 8-1 to win the AL, they also have them 8-1 to win the series. Go figure.

Read a quote from Bill James predicting KC will return to old form. Didn't say why. Maybe he's a hater.

bill james knows his stuff but, that division blows. kc has just as good a shot as minny or the sox.

James has a theory that bad teams who had a big rise in wins one year will revert back the next year. Having said that, I thought the Royals made some nice moves, while the Chisox and Twins took a step back. A team to watch might be Cleveland in that division.

the question with the royals is starting pitching. the offense is solid with the addition of juan gonzalez and hopefully a healthy mike sweeney and carlos beltran. they shored up the bullpen but the starters are the issue. darrell may and brian anderson are 1-2. appier is as old as dirt. someone has to step up.

but, it may only take 86 wins to take this division.

Very true BE, thats why it is disappointing to see the stance the Chisox are taking.

I liked the way KC played last year, and on days he comes to play, Juan Gonzalez is an MVP in every category. That'll be about 75 days a season. He won't show up in the cold, or on turf, or when he's pouting. And he's certainly not a good influence on young players. I'll be a little leery of this team. I agree that Cleveland and Detroit will be better (if that's measurable).
