I haven't complete my list but I have found that it is helpful early in the season and I am usually fairly accurate.

I like to bet on:
The top tier pitchers (but not laying big odds)
Good pitchers coming off bad seasons (ie Mark Buehrle this year)
young pichers about to break out.

I like to go against: (i actually am more confident in this list every year)

Old has been "big names" (glavine, maddux, randy johnson, and i think Clemens and Pettitte my fall into this in '04)

scrubs who i cannot believe actually get paid by MLB teams (Shane Reynolds,Kenny Rogers,Rick Reed,Shawn Estes,Chris Carpenter)

Pitchers who are not really good but had pitched over their head last year (Loaiza,Carlos Zambrano,Matt Clement)

Any others?

Might want to save your money going against Wood early since he is 5-0 in spring training and nearly unhittable.

I think Jason Schmidt would be a great one to go against with the rumors of a bad arm. The team behimd him is weaker than the last few Giants teams also.

One I will bet on is John Thomsom Braves. Always liked his stuff, he has Smoltz closing his games now.

He did pitch in a number of games that went over last year.

I agree with going against Pedro.
Something is wrong with him at this time. I think he will get lit up by the O's this Sunday.
He got hammered in his last two Spring training starts and according to sources he cant throw pitches over 90 mph.
If the over is under 9 the it is a definite go for me and half a unit on the moneyline on O's
