Heading off to PNC Park for the battle of PA today but that game is a big pass. I do have three plays to start the season. Happy Bases everyone!
Cubs/Reds UNDER 8.5 1.00/1.00
I hesitated initially with this play due to Great American's propensity for fireworks but I actually think that may have picked us up a 1/2 run in value. Strikeouts are strikeouts no matter what park you play in and Kerry Wood should get plenty against this Reds lineup. Lidle should be able to ride the momentum of a good spring to keep the Cubs scoring modest as well.
White Sox ML 1.15/1.00
White Sox/Royals OVER 9.5 1.21/1.00
Southpaw matchup favors Beuhrle. Both teams will score their runs as they are both right-hand hitting teams with some history of success against their opponnet. It will be interesting to see what effect moving the fences back has at Kaufmann. May open more room in the gaps now but I don't think it slows these lineups down today. Buehrle allowed just one walk in the spring and comes in much better form than Anderson who got battered around. Predicting that Buehrle will keep more men off the basepaths and that will be the difference.
