The Yankees are gonna win a boatload of games. They also probably hit lefties better, which Buehrle is. But the fact of the matter is they are often overvalued.
I like what Buehrle brings to the table. He's got excellent control in the strike zone, resulting in a better than 2:1 K/BB ratio.
I've never seen this DePaula kid pitch, but the buzz has been pretty good. How he'll react to being the fifth starter for the most storied franchise in baseball is a different story.
He could be great and the Yanks may win, but I'm a whore for value, and I like my chances with Magglio, Big Hurt, and Konerko, with a more established pitcher on the mound.
