this is a good one to look at.. wsox had bases loaded in a tie game with no one out,, 3-2 count on joe crede, he hits a long fly ball to warning track, outfielders are pulled in, ball hits warning track and bounces over fence.. think this should be ruled a ground rule double and allow 2 runs to score, thus covering a -1.5 run spread.. correct me if im wrong...

My thoughts on it would be that if the runner from third crossed home plate before the ball cleared the fence then just that run would count. If he had not crossed homeplate yet the game would not officially be over and if the ball was ruled a ground-rule double before he crossed, the 2 runners would be pushed across and it would count as a 2 run victory.
Of course I don't know how the specifics of whether or not the 2nd runner actually crosses the plate matters or not.

The batter is credited with a single in this case and 1 RBI. If the ball had left the park on the fly he would have had a home run and 4 RBI. Doesn't seem fair, but that has been a standard sportsbook ruling since run-line betting was first allowed (Las Vegas). It is one of the reasons betting on the home team laying 1.5 runs is not as popular as betting visiting teams who are guaranteed 27 outs for for a run-line bet to count. A home team just needs to lead by a single run in the bottom of the 9th (or extra) inning, and the game stops right there. The home run rule is the only exception.
