- Wednesday Report - 04/14/04 - Part 1

-- NEXT UPDATE will be posted before 2:00pm Pacific on WEDNESDAY, April 14.

Season record: 11-19, -10.01 UNITS

All lines effective as of 4/14/2004, 02:58:10 AM - PST. Listed pitchers must start.

Two early plays for Wednesday:

HOU (MILLER) -131 over STL (Carpenter) - 2 UNITS - 10:10am Pacific
Miller was great in his debut (6IP, 4 hits, 2 ER, 7Ks, 0 BB), but I also like this because of his history against the Cards. In his last 12 starts against them, he has a 3.16 ERA and .181 BAA. Similar dominant numbers were posted at Busch during that span, and he doesn't seem to have any problems with their current lineup. Should get good run support, as Houston's offense is clicking right now, and they will be facing a hittable pitcher. Carpenter picked up a W in his debut, but didn't look pretty in doing so. Miller is probably one of the best number 4 starters in the game, and this is a nice price against an average number 4.

OVER 10 KC (AFFELDT)/CHW (GARLAND) -113 - 1 UNIT - 11:05am Pacific
Could this finally be the year when the Sox's righty dominated lineup starts pounding lefties? They've only played six games against lefties so far, but they've been tearing it up. To be sure, Affeldt may turn into one of the better pitcher's in the game, but he hasn't really shown anything yet. He doesn't get too deep into games, and KC has a questionable bullpen. Garland amazingly gave up ony 1 ER in his last game, despite issuing 7 walks. He's always had control problems, which will put him in danger of giving up bunches of runs. Factor in a weak bullpen and 119 pitches thrown in his last start and hopefully this will go over.

PLEASE NOTE: All wagers are recommended for a "base" unit. Thus a side for 1 UNIT at -110 should be considered risking 1.10 UNITS to win 1.00 UNITS, while a team at +110 should be considered risking 1.00 UNITS to win 1.10 UNITS.

Good luck,

Edward
Richard

Looks like Richard is starting to warm up finally. After a bad start he has won 9 of last 13 plays and is now 2-0 on 2 UNIT plays this season.

I do not know what you consider to be touting. I post plays with analysis and a strict accounting of an updated record. Not much else.

So I guess Bucs edited your original post because his balls itched then. You know exactly what I am talking about EDWARD.

He edited the name of the service (not a URL), and one word descriptions of my partner and I's responsibilties within the service (not sure why).

Again, I am not sure what you consider to be touting.

I simply did what i was told to do gentlemen....

you are advertising a service in our sports forums which is not allowed....

We did not move your post because u were here at the site before we made that rule, and you have never caused any trouble when we did edit any info....

Therefore i did what i was told, i removed the titles to eliminate the appearance of "a business" putting up these plays....We have a site promotions area for that....If u wish to post your plays there, no editing will be needed......

Thank you......

Not sure how to respond to this. Firstly, I am not participating in the baseball handicapping. I am simply helping with sales and marketing.

I am not asking anyone for money, just posting plays and analysis like most people here.

As far as my college basketball season goes, it definitely was a disappointing end. Other than that we have produced very respectable win percentages and provided some of the best NCAA handicapping info, insight, and analysis found anywhere on the net for 8 years running.
