Understood. Like me with the Giants, you've got to root for your Braves. By the way, Schmidt looked great last night and deserved better support. As for Ortiz, remember he came from the Giants and I hated to see him go and wasn't surprised at his performance last year, but he does tend to start the season slowly as he did that in SF as well. As for Beckett, he is the real deal. I was extremely impressed with him in last season's post season and he has opened up this season just as good. That being said, they still have to play the game and in a regular season game, anything can happen. Just taking the reasonable price with a quality pitcher. Similiar reasoning to last night's game with Oswalt on the run line. Whew! Lucky to squeek by on that one.
