It seems I saw someone mention something about Maddux pitching today. He has been horrible in his previous 2 outings yet he is favored today.

Any insight?

I'm definitely fading him. Paul Wilson is a pretty decent pitcher and the Reds are playing fairly well. Maddux is a notorious slow starter. +155 is too rich a price for me to pass up, love the value there.

With the wind blowing out and Greg Maddux's meatballs, the residents along Waveland Ave are boarding up their windows. At least Dusty "Genius" Baker won't be able to leave him in for 131 pitches as he did Kerry Wood. The umpires would run out of baseballs.

Yes I'm fading Maddux BUT....you have two ground ball finese pitchers going here. 14 is a very big number. If, (and that is a big if), they can keep the ball on the ground the under could easily be the play here.

funny how things seem to even out over the course of a baseball season isn't it?

Hampton is pitching a good game in Atlanta today. He gave up a good amount of runs in his previous 2 games. The point is, these pitchers are starting to come around after a rough start to the season.

Vic, I remember you mentioning ground ball pitchers before. I'll have to keep looking at those statistics. I believe they are at the ESPN web site right?
