2-1 (+1.90 units) sunday
19-20 (-1.29 units) overall

all plays for one unit.

under 8 (-120) montreal/mets.............can either team score? probably not.

san fran -111 over san diego..........i know san diego is improved and wells is pitching, but i will take my chances with bonds and the giants at home laying a small number.

boston +170 over yankees........going against brown here. i have to take boston at home +170 in a rivalry that could go either way.

good luck everybody!!

GL mark

This is a tough one - Arroyo scares me to death.

In his two outings (one start and one in relief) he has given up more than you'd think a starter for this team would:

4/9 vs toronto - 6 innings, 4 earned runs, 3 walks, 8 hits...

4/15 vs Baltimore - .1 innings, 5 runs (only 2 earned - but still), 1 HR, 1 Walk, 3 hits.

I think that from a personnel perspective it will be interesting to see what francona does if arroyo gets shelled again here. I wonder if he wasnt stuck in the rotation by default early on.

Having said that the alternate runline of -1.5 +280 for the sox is a pretty damn good number for these guys at home on patriots day...

Anyone know their record on patriots day?

Probably irrelevant but the buzz in town with the marathon and this final day of rivalry (for this week anyway) should be pretty nice

One thing though - the yankees pen is probably worn isnt it...

Quantrill2.2 White1.2 Gordon1.1 and Rivera1 all pitched one or more innings

Osborne went 3 saturday

and Friday Quantrill, White, Osbourne and Depaula all went (very short outings then though)

On the other hand Foulke should be ready to go, Williamson (who walked 2 on friday and we havent seen him since) should be ready, and also embree hasnt pitched since friday either - who isnt that terrible - especially against lefties (source: fishhead).

if the sox can get to brown then a win is very probable - but can they get to him...

New York - Kevin Brown (3-0, 1.29); 2003 vs. Boston (0-2, 24.92).

Boston - Bronson Arroyo (0-1, 8.53); 2003 vs. New York (2-0, 5.55).

what is good enough for you?

The fact that Arroyo sucks so far and that Brown has been unbeatable

or

the fact that last year (with very different teams) Brown (in LA) didnt well vs the sox and arroyo did well vs the yanks?

lol..... what is good enough for me..

saying there was good value in the underdog

weather it wins or loses. kevin browm has been unbeatable , but he has only beat 1 team this year,an improving d-rays team.
still any-ones games just liked the value of the dog..

Good point

Dog betting is the way to go IMO for MLB

Like our great forefather Samuel Adams says nowadays "Always a good decision"
