MINNESOTA (10 - 5) at KANSAS CITY (5 - 9)
Kyle Lohse (R) vs. Kevin Appier (R)

The Minnesota Twins have won seven of their last eight games and we're forecasting them to continue their hot run tonight when they open their series at Kansas City.

Minnesota are 10-5 overall this season and swept the Royals last weekend at the Metrodome, outscoring their AL Central rivals 25-14 in the three-game series. They have now won 9 of the last 14 contests between these teams stretching back to last season.

Meantime Kansas City have lost eight of their last nine this season to drop back to 5-9 overall. The Royals are just 2-7 (-5.6 units) this season against right-handed starters while the Twins are 6-2 (+3.1 units) and both of those trends mirror previous season records against righties.

While they will appreciate playing at home tonight Kansas City are only 81-86 (-8.3 units) the last three years at Kauffman Stadium.

Twins starter Kyle Lohse is 3-2, 4.94 ERA against the Royals since 1997 and the Twins are 5-3 (+0.7 units) in these starts. The Royals send Kevin Appier to the mound and he is just 2-5, 3.75 ERA against the Twins since 1997 and his team's record in these starts is 4-7 (-5.9 units).

Minnesota have dominated division opponents the last three seasons going 102-63 for +20 units.

A tale of hot versus cold tonight and the Twins are good value at +100.

Recommended Play: Minnesota +100

Good luck
