Mulder has pitched well - and Contreras has not lasted more than 5 innings (with 2 and 3 inning outings in his last two starts against the nomarless and nixonless sox). Needless to say this is not a pitchers duel - its more like target practice for Mulder. Not saying the yanks cant score - and not saying the Oakland pen is very impressive but taking the best of these two starters with this price is worth it to me win or lose.

I dont understand this jimmy gobble matchup very well but I'll just stick to my instincts and place the bet. Kenny rogers missed a start due to the flu - prior to that he had 3 wins in 25IP, 25h, 15k, 7BB, 11ER (8 vs anaheim 4 vs oakland). Not terrible stats and considering the competition I'm willing to trust this guy vs a relatively untested jimmy gobble and a macdougal coming back from a long break from his own bouts with the flu.

attempting to rethink my strategy on doubling up games with the ML and the points

then again I shouldnt let a couple of losses scare me - I should probably stick to what I started with and go with it for a longer period of time.

It works great when yer winning but the losses seem to addup quick

however as long as I stick with + money then I should be ok


anyone have any thoughts on this?
