MLB YTD: 5-6 (-2.21 units)

Detroit Tigers (+120) over Seattle Mariners (2 units to win 2.40)

Seattle has been struggling on the road this season and to make matters worse, their offense has been weak versus righty starters. Seattle only score 3.4 runs per game & bats .246 against them.

On the other hand, Detroit has been scoring in bunches @ Home and against righty starters. Detroit scores close to 7 runs per game and bats over .270 against them.

Jeremy Bonderman isn't Cy Young by any means, but he is not bad as his numbers showed last year. He's a very young pitcher with some promise. He has an extra two days of rest under his belt. He won his last start April 23 with five innings against Cleveland at Comerica Park, where he hasn't lost a decision in five starts since last August.

Colorado Rockies (-135) over Atlanta Braves (4.05 units to win 3)

Game #1

The battle of a pitcher that hasen't shown the ability to pitch at Coors and one who has shown great success @ Coors thus far. Joe Kennedy has been pitching so well, goin 3-0 w/ an era of 1.83.

Texas Rangers (+121) over Boston Red Sox (3 units to win 3.63units)

Game #1

Great value, imo. The Rangers' bats have been swinging a lot better than the Red Sox. Yes the Red Sox scored 7 runs in their last game against the D'Rays, but it was all in the 1st inning against Damian Moss. They were held scoreless the rest of the game by the likes of John Halama & Chad Gaudin.

Cinci Reds (+190) over Houston Astros (2 units to win 3.80)

Strictly a value play.

Chicago Cubs (-108) over St Louis Cards (3.24 units to win 3)

Basically the same writeup as yesterday...Cards are just not hitting...Just look how they won last night...walks. They really didnt do anything from the plate again. Clement has looked strong of late, so hopefully the Cubs can capitalize on the Cards' offensive woes this time.

Minnesota Twins (-120) over Anaheim Angels (4.80 units to win 4)

This is assuming its Sele on the mound for Anaheim, if anybody else starts, then it will be no action.

I feel as though Minnesota is gonna start getting some momentum. I really liked how they played last game and I really like how some of their younger guys (ie: Lew Ford) have been playing.

Minnesota really knocked Sele around last year. With this being a spot start for him, I feel he will be even more vulnerable.

New York Mets (+131) over San Diego Padres (3 units to win 3.93)

The current Major League leader in era, Al Leiter takes the mound for the mets and is bringing lots of potential value.

Montreal Expos / LA Dodgers OVER 7.5 (+112) (1 unit to win 1.12)

I know the Expos are dreadful offensively, but Lima & Hernandez really dont deserve a total under 8, imo.
