I am new to this thread, and will start posting my plays daily. I have a tendency to get really hot, but on the flipside, I do go through spells where it seems as if though I cannot pick a winner to save myself. When Im on, I advise you to follow....if you catch me during one of my cold spells, perhaps it would be advantageous for you to fade me for a few days until I heat up again. Anyways, enough about that. Good luck everybody, here I go.

Rockies over Expos 200 to win 206
The Rockies are a notoriously bad road team, however I think that in this spot, I will take getting paid virtually even money against an Expos team who has been hard pressed to score more than 2 or 3 runs per game almost the entire season so far. Of course they did break out for 10 runs last night, but the Expo bats will have to produce for more than one game to convince me they are not the anemic lineup they have proved to be thus far in the 04 season. Both pitchers, the lefty Kennedy for the Rockies, and the righty Day for the Expos, have pitched well this year. The Expos have particularly struggled against left handed pitching this year, and I look for Kennedy to continue that trend tonight. I dont think there's any question that the Rockies have the vastly superior batting lineup as well. Furthermore the following statistic convincingly dispels the notion that these guys cannot hit on the road: The Rockies have homered in 10 straight road games!! Take the Rockies!!

Blue Jays over Royals 300 to win 150
The Royals are 2-11 on the road this season, and they send a pitcher to the mound that has an ERA of over 6.00. The Blue Jays send 03 AL Cy Young winner Roy Halladay to the mound, who should get some run support from a potent Blue Jay lineup that seems to be breaking out of a season long slump. Halladay loves to perform in front of his home crowd, as evidenced by his stellar record at the Skydome last year. The Blue Jays have struggled mightily at home this season, going an awful 2-9 at the Skydome this year. I give more credence to the Royals inability to win on the road however, as that very well could be a trend that will continue throughout the year for them, whereas it would be virtually impossible for a talented team like the Blue Jays to continue struggling at home like they have so far. The guy, Halladay, is a juggernaut, and my money will be on the Blue Jays tonight.

Rangers over Devil Rays 390 to win 300

To lay -130 at home on the hottest team in the major leagues that has the superior pitcher on the mound facing the Tampa Bay Devil Rays is a bet that I will take any day. I am very suprised that this line is not at -150 or so. The Rangers lineup leads the major leagues in hitting, and will continue tonight against an unproven pitcher for the Devil Rays. I dont think there is much reason for further explanation. This one is easy guys....take the Rangers!!

Orioles vs White Sox OVER 9 runs 250 for 200

I think this total is a bit low for one simple reason. This total assumes Ponson and Buehrle are performing at the same high level that they have displayed in past seasons, and that is absolutely not the case. These guys have been getting bombed lately, and until they prove otherwise, I will take a relatively low total of 9, and bet over with these two guys on the mound. Furthermore, I like the value in this play because of the batting lineups these teams possess. Magglio Ordonez, Frank Thomas, Carlos Lee, Miguel Tejada, Rafael Palmeiro, Javy Lopez, Jay Gibbons, and a handful of lesser known guys from both teams who are swinging really hot bats right now. Take the OVER 9 in this matchup, and you will be happy you did so.

That is it for now. I feel pretty good about my card tonight. Good luck everybody!
