1-1 on the Phillies SHOULD selections (if they step on home plate before they get out at first I think I would be unbeaten but excuses excuses excuses SO here we go!)
I went with Myers last time against St. Louis in what I considered to be optimal conditions for him to pitch well and he did alright but not great. He's still struggling a bit with his pitches but struggling for him isn't getting totally bombed AND I think the Phils are in the heads of the Dbacks at this point. I know a lot of people like the anti-sweep angle but the Phillies big guns have destroyed Sparks so I like their chances tonight.
Thome's stats are sick against Sparks and Burrell has seen him twice and homered once. Most of the roster hasn't seen them but I will say they have had success against the knucklers they have seen (Wakefield comes to mind).
I like it. It's a good spot for them to get a sweep. GO PHILS!
