MLB YTD: 32-27 (+5.42 units)

Texas Rangers (-110) over Tampa Bay D'Rays (3.30units to win 3)

Ryan Drese has been pitching pretty effectively this year, doesnt seem to be the same pitcher as last season. He pitched very strong against the Red Sox, then in his last start, pitching on three days' rest, Drese allowed five hits and walked two hitters in 6 1/3 strong innings against the Devil Rays. He is a sinker ball pitcher and for some reason, sinker ball pitchers tend to be more effective when they get more work, rather than the typical 5 day rest period. I've seen this locally with D-Lowe of the Sox...its been thrown down our throats by the local media. So its no real coincidence that the Rangers have moved Drese's start up to tonight. The club would like to see him continue his effectiveness on the mound.

Rangers are 16-6 against right-handed starters
D'Rays are 7-15 against right-handed starters

Rangers avg around 7 runs per game against righties and bat over .316. I understand they have played many of their games at home (a hitter's ballpark). But I beleive they will be an offensive force both at home and away. They havent showed it thus far, but then again they've had Teixera and Jordan on the DL and have faced the likes of Oakland's pitching staff thus far.

Milwaukee Brewers (-139) over Montreal Expos (4.17 units to win 3)

After struggling in Cincinnati last week, the Brewers warmed up with a weekend trip to Shea Stadium. Milwaukee notched victories over the New York Mets in the first two games of the series, but fell in 11 innings on Sunday.

Junior Spivey should be returning to the lineup tonight. Lyle Overday is probablt the hottest hitter in the league. Overbay extended a hitting streak to 11 games with two hits on Sunday; during that span, Overbay is hitting .500 (21-for-42).

2 other chalks...dont see much value tonight

Minnesota Twins (-135) over Seattle Mariners (4.05 units to win 3)
St Louis Cards (-131) over Atlanta Braves (3.93 units to win 3)
