St. Louis -135

Not a good team to be playing for Atlanta as they are really struggling to score runs right now. St. Louis rarely has that problem. Thomson has trouble vs. lefties and the Cards have Womack and Edmonds at the top of the order. These guys getting on regularly in front of Pujols & Rolen should seal Atlanta's fate. Suppan has never faced Atlanta but is pitching solid. Last year Suppan would struggle versus left-handers big time but was very effective versus righties. He is actually holding lefties to a .188 BA & 0.95 WHIP this year while still holding his own versus the righties(.274 BA, 1.36 WHIP). Riding both a winning streak(Cards) & losing streak(Braves).

Baltimore +135

Worth a shot. Cabrera may catch lightning in a bottle here as he is off a dominating performance in AA and going against the White Sox who are weaker vs. righties. Baltimore hitting .318 vs. righties and Garland has struggled vs. everyone but the Yankees.

Pittsburgh/Colorado UNDER 13 -110

I know I am asking for trouble betting an under at Coors but the Pirates are hitting .218 vs. lefties and have replaced Mondesi's roster spot with a left-handed hitter(Daryle Ward). Benson is tough against right-handed hitters and Helton is only 1/10, Burnitz 3/13 vs. Benson all-time and neither has homered. Both pitchers should be able to go 6-7 innings.

Chicago Cubs/LA OVER 7.5 +106

Zambrano is a stud but LA hitting too well not to scratch out a few. Nomo has lost something off his fastball and is not the same pitcher. When you have two pitchers with these names and reputations and are in Dodger Stadium, the total is usually 7. I take the fact that it is 7.5 as a clue.
