SEASON SERIES: Giants, 5-1.

San Francisco at Colorado
VENUE: Coors Field

GAME: San Francisco Giants (28-28) at Colorado Rockies (21-34).

TIME: Monday, 4:05 p.m. EDT.

Even when Barry Bonds is not seeing good pitches, he's doing damage with them.

The San Francisco Giants come off their best offensive performance of the season as they close a four-game series against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field.

Bonds homered and Dustin Hermanson won for the first time in seven starts Sunday, singling twice and driving in a run in the Giants' 16-4 victory. San Francisco had lost four of its previous five.

Michael Tucker, Damon Minor and Cody Ransom all had three RBIs for the Giants, who matched their season high with 16 hits. It was their best offensive output since they beat the Rockies 18-5 on July 2, 2002.

Bonds' solo shot over the left-field wall in the sixth was his 16th homer of the season and the 674th of his career. The six-time NL MVP is third on the career list behind Hank Aaron (755) and Babe Ruth (714).

Bonds shooed reporters away from his locker after the game.

"I'm tired," he said. "My legs are killing me."

Bonds, who leads the majors with 79 walks, has walked seven times in the series' first three games.

Rockies manager Clint Hurdle told his pitchers to practically walk Bonds no matter what after Jeff Fassero went against the skipper's instructions Friday and gave up a homer to the 39-year-old slugger.

"It's hard to think he's going to get a hit every time up," Hurdle said Sunday. "When we got behind in the game, I didn't see a need to put him on with four pitches. We were trying to find a way to get him out. The ball he hit was six inches off the plate. I told our pitchers yesterday you can't get him out over the plate. It's tough to get him out off the plate right now."

The Rockies, who beat the Giants 11-2 on Saturday, have lost three of four and seven of 10.

GIANTS PROBABLE STARTER: Brett Tomko (1-4, 5.61 ERA). Tomko is coming off his shortest outing of the season. The 31-year-old right-hander allowed five runs and nine hits over 3 1-3 innings Tuesday in an 8-6 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Tomko is 3-4 with a 3.51 ERA in 10 career games against the Rockies.

This is the giants 8th straight away game.
the last 7 have all gone Over.
They've been using up alot of their
bullpen.
If Tomko gets into trouble early...
going to be alot of runs scored.

No Bonds today guys! Not sure if this changes anyone's approach to choosing a side or total, but just wanted to give everyone a heads up! Good luck to all!
