Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there, let's make your day a winning one!

Sunday, June 20, 2004

Yeah I missed the Arizona game last night, but nevertheless a 4-2 day with a big dog barking I'll take it! I bragged for weeks before this year's MLB season began about baseball being my favorite sport and best sport to cap. For those who followed me from opening day witnessed me produce a down right horrid several months, losing a large number of units putting me deep in the hole! In fact, I was down so many units I made it my goal just to be within striking distance of getting near even in units. But I'm happy to tell you, after yesterday's play I'm ahead of schedule and back on the plus side.

I'll be doing my damnest to stay productive and finish out the remaining of the season in a money making way! So be sure you follow a long as I attempt to stay hot! Selections for today....

MLB
Braves -140
Cardinals -1.5 -110
Diamondbacks -117
UNDER 9 -110 Yankees/Dodgers GM

NASCAR fans, here's something for you as well...

Jeff Gordon has his DuPont Chevy on the pole and should be one of the several cars capable of dominating this race. "There's not too many tracks we visit that are like Michigan – it's unique," said Gordon, a 66-time winner in NASCAR's premier series. "California Speedway is not the same but it's the closest, and we'll use a lot of our notes from that track here this weekend."

In 22 career starts at the two-mile Michigan track, Gordon has two victories, 14 top-fives, 16 top-10's and an 8.0 average finish. In 11 events held here during June, Gordon has failed to complete only one lap (2,193 of 2,194) and has an average finish of 5.0. In eight starts at California, he has completed all but one lap and has a 5.9 average finish. In addition to using the same notes from California, Gordon will also race the same chassis this weekend. Car No. 2479 has visited Victory Lane twice (California in 2004 and Atlanta in 2003) and has carried Gordon to five top-five finishes in seven starts. "This is a great race car, one that seems to work well on mile-and-a-half tracks and two-mile tracks," Gordon said.

This week I'm going with Gordon! He'll be one of the favorites, but you still get pretty fair odds on picking the winner. Another driver to watch is Tony Stewart. He's starting about mid-pack but with all the passing lanes, staying out of trouble and making his way to the front should be no prob. If you do the driver vs driver matchup, use Gordon and Stewart over who ever your book has them matched up against.

GL To those who follow!
