Guys, we all know that nothing is a sure thing, but Texas over Georgia in the CWS tomorrow seems to one of the strongest plays I've seen in a long time. I got them at -140 at Olympic when it first came out, and I imagine the price will rise. Getting Texas over Georgia at that price is a very good deal, and I put a bundle on it. Frankly, although I don't like big favorites, I don't think it matters too much how much we have to put down on this one. If Georgia beats Texas, that would be a major, major upset in my book. Anyway, good luck to all of you, and I hope you are all enjoying a good summer.

i HATE laying wood in MLB - but don't mind it as much in college. i got texass @ -150 and love it so much i made it my CWS GOY. to me - this is men against the boys. i said from day 1 the SEC is overrated and after 2 days it sure looks that way.

Agreed Reb & Winky, though UGa is a competitor & held back their 1 and 2 pitchers vs. Az as a gamble to have best vs Horns, still must give Texas a big edge at the plate, as the last two weeks in tourney play have seen UT absolutely going off, while the Dawgs have been solid not stellar.

LeCure vs. Ruthven figures to be each staff's #2v2, with the Horns starter having CWS experience over Sean Ruthven(father is Dick the Phillie), the young Dawg is a solid pitcher, and the game could be closer than many think, but the power is with UT, as only Morris for UGa has much pop, though the rest can hit and run. And despite closer Startup for UGa, I prefer the Horn middle relief.

Texas is the play!

As I've said all along Winky, the SEC had solid-not-stellar starters this year, and though 1-3 thus far, what would any teams from any conference be vs Texas' ace, Miami's ace, and CSF's ace?

As the most complete SEC team this year would be a "theoretical" union of SC's staff to LSU's hitting lineup. The SEC is very solid, yet is just missing a Texas or Cane-like loaded team since LSU's last title team.

Winky, you just gotta believe CSF has a puncher's chance to advance if Romero can get past a very shaky Cockroft, then get something again out of Windsor, but the bats have to elevate their swing a bit..I've felt all along that the Titans were a live dog, if can ride two aces.

Lean to Ark in early game, but must pass at that price, as the Hogs & Cats have played close games all tourney, though small edge to Ark's ability to use #2 & #3 starters plus a nice closer vs perfect mark yet high ERA Cat..if choose to shoot wad.

It still should boil down to plate production by both teams, and Az is at least in gear a bit thus far there, but Az will need to throw strikes..or Hogs will draw plenty of walks to set table for big innings.

GL Guys!
