I just love betting 2nd games in a double header. This is a perfect chance to see how the teams are performing for the day. This especially works good when the better pitcher for the winning team is pitching late.

The Yankees today stone the Mets 8-1 allowing 1 run in the 7th inning. We also need to look at some other key numbers here. Mussina is 3-1 agains the Mets in his career allowing 8 runs total in all 3 games combine. He had a 6 hit 7 inning no runs allowed agains the mets in 2001 and had a winning game in 2002 12-5.(Yankees producing for mussina when needed) Mussina is starting today with a 2-1 last 3 and 2.81 ERA statistic of last 3 starts. Ginter otherwise is 0-1 last 3 with an ERA of 4.24.

The yankees are 7-1 agains the mets last 8 and winning today, it owuld be 8-1 last 9.(they were 6-0 before last nights losing) They lost yesterday to the Mets in a bad game. The yankees have covered the RL 7 times and failed only twice. Once was where they lost yesterday, and the other time they won 9-8. They yankees also are 8-6 in a 3rd game of a series coming off a WIN. 14-8 overall with a hitting avg. of .285.

I really have to go with the Yankees today in Game2 especially when they win game one with nice numbers against righties, to which they have failed to contribute against lately.

I like the Mets in G2 because Ginter is 1-1 with a 3.38 era and Mussina has a 8-4 4.58 era. Also don't think that the Mets get swept. Too many strikeouts for the mets in G1. They won't be striking out like that in G2. Also the Yankees had a few home runs in G1. I don't think they will get that in G2. 7-4 Mets.
