Made the wrong choice on the Giants game yesterday as I liked San Fran but took the under instead. Seems to sum up the year to date.
YTD 20-36 (-11.81)
Montreal +142 (Wells, Biddle)
It's chic to fade Biddle today, but I'm going the other way. Wells' numbers looked good last time out, but he still walked five in eight innings. Matter of fact he's walked 24 in his last 34+ IP, and sported a lousy 7.43 ERA in June, in addition to 5.33 road ERA this season.
Biddle hasn't been great, but most of his problems have come against lefties. The Pirates have only Redman and Mackowiak as regulars, and neither necessarily instill fear.
Pittsburgh's on a nice run, but some places are trying to offer them -160. These are ridiculous numbers in a matchup I see being close to even.
