Record Update:

All plays always ONE base unit
& listed pitchers -

YTD Parlays: 3-2 60.00% +3.40U
Total: +24.25U

Home Run Derby

This is pure entertainment gambling here... Taking the hitters who can bat right-handed as Minute Maid Park has the short porch in left. Group includes home crowd favorite Berkman(has more power from left though) as a big dog. Playing these three for 1/3 unit each:

Sosa +340
Berkman +940
Tejada +1160

All-Star Game

National League -137

Rather chalky for an All-Star game but there is a significant quality difference in the pitching staffs in this game. I feel the -137 is justified and I'll play it.

My NL All-Star Team

I am a National League fan and I thought it would be fun to put together my NL All-Star team if I was picking this season's team. Each team is represented and injured players are not included(ie. Sean Casey). Let me know if you have a different opinion on someone. My starters are in bold:

1B - Thome, Pujols, Overbay, Helton
2B - Loretta, Vidro
3B - Rolen, A. Ramirez, Beltre
SS - J. Wilson, Izturis
C - Estrada, Kendall, Loduca
OF - Bonds, Drew, Abreu, Berkman, Cabrera, Dunn
SP - Schmidt, Sheets, Zambrano, Clemens, Johnson, Glavine, Leiter, Pavano
MR - G. Mota
CL - Kolb, Benitez, Gagne

Thanks JW, I appreciate that. I could not have asked for a better set up in the championship - I was going to have a big hit, just how big was the question. I still can't believe that I won that much money on the home run derby of all things.

Since the home run props worked out well last night I'll press my luck again tonight -

Player to hit first home run - 1/3 unit each

Alex Rodriguez +1250
.377 lifetime average vs. Clemens w/ 2 home-runs

Pujols +1000
.339 5 HR's versus lefties in 62 at-bats this season

Field +333
Good hedge with lots of guys who can homer not listed
