Milwaukee +1.38 over CINCINNATI
Line is way out of whack here as the Brew Crew continue to be a difficult foe each day. They have split their last 10 games and beat Kerry Wood, Matt Clement, Cory Lidle, Carlos Zambrano, and Mark Prior. That’s a pretty impressive handful and after tonight, you can likely add Aaron Harang to that list. Harang is on a pretty good run right now, however, that still doesn’t give me much confidence in him. He’s been way less effective at home where he averages just 5 innings per start. The Reds bullpen is nothing to get excited about either and chances are they’ll get plenty of work again. They pen was overworked in their recent four set with the Cards as Juan Acevedo failed to get out of the third inning yesterday and Sanchez failed to make it out of the fourth on Thursday. Reds have now dropped three of four and eight of their last 11. Brewers will send Ben Hendrickson to the hill. Considered the Brewers' top pitching prospect, Hendrickson went 8-2 with a league-leading 2.27 ERA at Indianapolis. He was the starting pitcher for the International League in last week's Triple-A All-Star game. In a spot start June 2, he surrendered four runs and seven hits over five innings in a 5-2 loss to Los Angeles. Don’t put too much emphasis on that start. It was his first in the majors and was subsequently sent back down to the minors where he absolutely dominated. This will be his second go around in six weeks and he may never return to the minor league level again. Furthermore, the Brewers pen is one of the leagues best, bar none, and if your looking for value, you won’t find any better on the menu tonight then this game here. Huge overlay. Play Milwaukee +1.38 (Risking 1.6 units).

Los Angeles –1½ +1.45 over HOUSTON
The Astros options on Brandon Duckworth are diminishing fast and we’ll gladly lay the extra half run here against a guy who’s confidence level has got to be extremely low and the team he chucks for isn’t much better. Duckworth has appeared in 14 games this year, 13 of them as a reliever, and will make just his second start of the season here. In just 28 innings of work, Duckworth has been torched for 10 bombs, 40 hits and 24 earned runs. Ouch. His ERA on the year is 7.53 and over his last 3 appearances he’s been tagged for three jacks, 15 hits, and nine earned runs in seven innings. Meanwhile, the Dodgers are playing great ball having won six in a row and nine of their past 10. Wilson Alvarez has been rock solid for the Dodgers all year and in fact, has allowed just 55 hits in 66 innings while striking out 56 and walking just 15. He comes into this contest with a 3.51 ERA and an even lower 2.77 ERA over his past three. This venue is friendly to hitters and right now the Dodgers are seeing beach balls while the Astros continue to be the most over-rated team in the bigs. Sweet tag laying the runs and we’re all over this one, you should be too. Play Los Angeles –1½ +1.45 (Risking 1.6 units).
