7/21/04: OAKLAND (Zito) at SEATTLE (Blackley):
MLB -10:05PM (EST)

Despite Barry Zito’s poor first-half, he has always been a better pitcher after the All-Star break going (37-14) with a 2.52 ERA in 62 career games. Zito has already looked better with a solid outing in his last game against the White Sox – allowing just 1 run in 7 innings.

Seattle’s offensive has been brutal all season; especially against left-handed pitching where they’re batting just .245 & scoring only 4 runs per game at home. Overall the Mariners are just (8-17) against southpaws & (2-11) at home.

With Travis Blackley on the mound tonight, Seattle should find themselves behind again considering that Zito is (6-2) against them lifetime. Go with Oakland here on the road.

Best of luck,
