NYY @ Tor Over 9.5 -1.15
Umpire Bill Hohn has produced 12 OVERS and 5 UNDERS this season when behind home plate. When the total has been set at 9, 9.5 or 10, the OVER for him is 4-0. He calls 62.4% of pitches strikes and allows an average of 2.5 HR's per game. His runs per game average is somewhere around 10.44 for the season.
El Duque (NYY) is 1-0 on the ROAD this season with an ERA of 5.40, In those games, an average of 16+ runners have reached base.
Ted Lilly (TOR) has pitched well but not as a HOME DOG. He is 1-3 as a HD this season with an ERA of 5.25 and AOR of 9.00.

Pirates ML +100
Home Plate Umpire Joe West is responsible for 14 HOME TEAM winners this season and only 7 AWAY TEAM winners. When the home team is an UNDERDOG, they are 9-2 this season. So out of the 11 games he has umped where the HOME team is a dog, nine times the dogs have barked.
Paul Byrd (ATL) is 1-1 on the ROAD this season with an ERA of 3.38 and AOR of 6.08. He has allowed an average of 12.83 men on base. He is 2-2 lifetime versus the Buccos with an ERA of 4.33.
Kip Wells (PIT) has allowed only 7 Earned Runs in his last four games. He is 4-2 this season as the HOME UNDERDOG with an ERA of 3.75. He is 0-2 lifetime versus the Braves with a lowly ERA of 3.32.

**Phil @ Flor Over 8 -1.15**
Home Plate Umpire Gary Cederstrom has produced 13 OVERS and only 5 UNDERS this season. When the total is set at 8, the OVER is 1-0. The last three Marlins home games Cederstrom has umped, have all gone OVER. $ of the last 5 Phillies games he has done, have gone OVER. Both times he has been BHP for a Randy Wolf start, the total has gone OVER.
Randy Wolf (PHI) is 2-1 this season as the ROAD UNDERDOG and both games have gone OVER. He has allowed 12 Earned Runs in his last three games and has a liftime ERA of 5.87 versus the Marlins.
Carl Pavano (FLA) is coming off a 10-8 win over the Phillies, where he gave up an unusual 6 ER's. The 'Under' has been nice for him at home (6-2) but it looks like the Marlins have started hitting again. Pavano's lifetime ERA versus the Phillies is 4.50. This total seems to low.

**STL-CIN under 10 +1.22**
Umpire Tim Timmons has an 'UNDER' record of 16-3 this season. An average of only 7.10 runs per game are scored when he is the ump. The 'Under' is 4-0 when the total is set at 9.5 or 10.

Thanks;
For the last year that I have been posting on this site I have learned the valuable lesson of doing a write up...not only to justify the selection...but to also solidify my pick. I am not the best capper, and w/ the job I have its hard to commit to capping full time. I just started to do write ups..but we will see what happens. The Astros have killed me this year...maybe lost 40+ units on their picks this year...but hoping the home team can turn this around.

BTW;
saw your first half Baseball results..wanna give props to not being in the red w/.

Adding;
**NYM T GLAVINE-L -1.13
NEW YORK: C-1B Mike Piazza took batting practice and said he expected to be ready to play Tuesday, despite feeling some discomfort whenever he didn't make solid contact.
Montreal is 7-1 in their last eight home games and I just dont see that happening tonight. Even though The mets are 0-6 in Glavine's last 6, he has an ERA of 3.26 and a whip of 1.40 compared to Day who has an ERA of 7.71 and a whip of 2.29 in his last 3!! Take the mets in a revenge game here!!

**CIN C LIDLE-R +1.25**
Hunch play here...all the numbers say take STL but I have a feeling that Cincy wins this one.

** MIL B SHEETS-R -1½ +178**
Love this play....Road team is 1-6 in Scott's last seven BHP.
Sheets has pitched 136.0 innings but has only givin up 106 hits and struck out 148.....
compared w/ maddux who has pitched 129.2 innigs but has givin up 139 hits and only struck out 87!!! Sheets is the better pitcher here...take the Brew Crew on the run line!!!

**HOU R OSWALT (1ST 5 INN) -½ -185**
