If you based his career after the age of 30 Edgar Martinez would be a lock to make the Hall of Fame....Perhaps the greatest hitter who's career really didn't fully kick in til he turned 32 yrs old (1995) Martinez (41) is now being benched for youth movement in Seattle...

Martinez hasn't batted above .265 in any month since April... and is only on pace for 11 homeruns 70 RBI, a huge drop for the DH deluxe....

Starting at age 32, Edgar has hit 242 HR's and averaged 104 RBI, while batting over.320...all after the age of 32.. Phenomenal hitting stats, for a righty with no speed and bad legs!
