today makes me a little nervous. i like all the big favs but don't want to lay the juice. guess it is time to play some runlines. of course i will be sick if they win by only one run. all plays for one unit today. think i am going to play a few extra today.
atlanta -1.5 (-140) over arizona...........braves still hot, arizona still sucks. i now byrd is beatable, but the guy for arizona is really bad. braves bsts should score a bunch today and they win a high scoring games something like 9-5.
houston -1.5 (-125) over montreal.........alot of talk about montreal being good lately. even really bad teams win 60 games a year. a general rule is in baseball is that it does not matter how good or bad you are.......you are going to win a third of your games and lose a third of your games. it is that middle third that decides where you finish in the standings. houston won last night and i look for another great effort by pettite today. expos back to their losing ways.
dodgers -1.5 (+120) over phillies............phils certainly playing better, but cannot make up any ground on the hot atlanta braves. probably getting frustrating for them to win four in a row on the road and not pick very much up in the standings. phils got abbott pitching today and i cannot stand him. i have no idea why they signed him. i look for him to get shelled today. dodgers should poubnd them. phils due for another bad game and it will be with abbott. wish they would trade him.
yankees -1.5 (+110) over toronto..........yanks playing good ball again. toronto slumping a little bit. home field should be the difference in this one. jays will score some today, but not enough. yanks 8-4.
oakland +133 over minnesota............going with Hudson (7-3, 2.98) in this one as a dog. why not? minnesota a pretty decent team, but oakland also a first place team. worth a shot as the doggie.
mets +1.5 (-140) over st louis............cards continue to find ways to win. benson whom the mets got from pittsburgh no where near as bad as his debut with the mets. he is a very good pitcher. wish the phillies would have signed him. i was going to play the moneyline (+153) but thought the ways the cards are finding ways to win, they would win a one run game. feel good with benson +1.5 runs.
there you go........can't remember the last time a posted six picks in one day. that is ok, half of them are dogs. i like these, i can see a 4-2 day or better.
