Not much to say after yesterday as I lose two very tough games in SF and ATL. The Giants lose on a BS call at the plate (Bullpen is horrible regardless) and the Braves lose on a HR by a guy who has never hit one before. Some days you catch breaks..others you don't. Coming back today strong I hope!

Record second half 42-42 -24.98 units

2* Astros -177 (Oswalt only)

*Oswalt has been pitching lights out ball lately
30IP/6ER and the Astros are 4-0 overall L/4 when he takes the mound. I think Glavine's little accident yesterday will have the Mets not all there tonight and not fully focused. Yeah they'll "want to win for him", but I don't think so tonight. Oswalt's been too good lately and he lost there last year, but he was facing Leiter who is a huge upgrade from Ginter going tonight.*

2* Devil Rays +155 (Brazelton only)

*Brazelton for the D'Rays is another one who has been pitching great ball lately 25.4IP/4ER/13H!! The D'Rays are 3-1 overall L/4 when he takes the mound. Lowe for the Red Sox has just not been the same pitcher he was in previous years. He's giving up way more hits than innings pitched and just has been very inconsistant. The D'Rays shocked everyone including myself in the first game by beating up on Schilling and I see them bouncing back from last night's defeat. I realize Brazelton is a way different pitcher on the road, but with him pitching this well and sporting an 0-2 record on the road...they gotta get him a win sometime on the road. I feel tonight's the night.*

1* A's -162 (Ledezma/Redman)

*Redman has been pitching very good baseball recently 28.2IP/6ER his L/4 outings and the A's are 3-1 overall L/4 when he takes the mound. Tigers just don't do well against lefties on the road and the A's are just playing too good of baseball right now. A's need wins! Ledezma was 0-2 LY against the A's and they knocked him around pretty well in those games. They should get to him today again.*

1* Braves -180 (Hampton only)

*Going with guys these again tonight after a tough loss yesterday. Can they lose two in a row at home to the pathetic Brew Crew...of course they could, but my money is with them to win tonight with Hampton on the hill where the Braves are 6-0 overall in his L/6 starts!! Not much else to say about this game, but the more dominant team "should" win tonight. We'll see...*

1* D'Rays/Red Sox OVER 9.5 -115

*These two teams are really scoring some runs against each other in the first two games of this series and I don't see it letting up tonight at all. These two pitchers tonight have been a bit out of control with the walks lately , especially Brazelton and I see it catching up with both pitchers tonight where the bases will have many runners on. Brazelton has an 5.66 ERA on the road and Lowe has around a 5.00 ERA at home. Should go OVER the number tonight.*

Adding one more play:

1* Marlins -110 (Suppan/Pavano)

*Ok..I know this is NUTS, but this is strictly a "gut" feeling on this one. When was the last time we saw the Cards as Dogs?? When was the last time we saw the Cards get 2 hits in a game(10 innings yesterday)?? Why are the bookmakers making this line the way it is? I feel they want Cardinal action BIG TIME...this line should be something like it was yesterday if they didn't think the Marlins had a shot in this game. I think they do. Suppan has been pitching WAY over his head all year..he's just on an outstanding team. His ERA L/3 is HUGE and two starts ago he walked 10 batters in one game! That's ridiculous....Beckett was quoted yesterday by saying that his team needs to play with urgency if they are to make any run. I think with the Cards bats being shut down yesterday and Suppan not pitching well calls for atleast a shot with the Marlins. Pavano has a pretty damn good record this year at 12-4...that can't be overlooked.*

GL! Crossing my fingers with this one, but can't resist the "gut" feeling....Cards will probably win 10-2 and that will be the end of "gut" feeling plays for me...
