Kapusta,

Just curious my friend. Do you only play heavy chalk? I see you are 25 games over .500 yet still down 145 units. Then I see your card today and its all very heavy chalk. You may want to throw in some dogs or Plus money plays every once in a while.

Either way good luck.

Jaypaw-I like Brazelton!

MadCapper-I would say mostly chalk-occassional dogs when I see some good value-usually play 2 or 3 games though so I don't get hammered by the odds. Good Luck!

Kapusta thanx for the quick response. But even playing 3 games a night can kill you. You can go 2-1 and barely make anything and you can go 1-2 and lose alot. God forbid you go 0-3 and lose the house. You are an amazing 25 games over .500. Thats some great work. I am right now 11 games under .500 but up over 65 units and 38 units counting each play as 1 unit. Most of my plays are 2 or 3 unit plays. But since I rarely lay heavy chalk I can be up this much and still be under .500. Thats the beauty of betting bases.

i think kap has just hit funk.

he was up almost 10,000 i thought for a long time,

maybe get back to what you were doing a month or so ago, i always get into a rut at some point during a season myself, and going back to see how i got there always helps me.

best of luck kap, look foward to your plays

You're right Truely! Kap has just been in a little funk for bit and lost some units, but he was up a lot just recently it seems.

Jaypaw...SO glad you like Tampa tonight..makes me feel way better since I'm on them too for a pretty big play. I've noticed you know the Red Sox pretty well...Keep it up!!

Kap is that Houston line before the pitching change? Glavine is out, Ginter now in but the line is now 175. Is it still a play? I like it, just have problems pulling the trigger at 175.

I think the Lesson MC is that betting a LOT of GAMES does not hurt you in Baseball, just like a batter cannot move his average much in one game. You have wagered over 1000 plays this year, and you have peaked and troughed 3 times from ground zero to high again.

He has only posted a little over 350 games. This might have something to do with his record as well. I know he also possess a better record on his higher rated plays.

NEWPORT LESSON ON BASES.....

You can pick them out of a hat, dogs or favorites and probably fair pretty well. They key to baseball, and why it is the most profitabel sport, is that YOU do not have to worry about linesmakers being accurate, BECAUSE EVERY TIME THEY MAKE A LINE MINUS ABOUT 7 PITCHERS....linesmakers are gambling as well. AAnd you have to be an every day gambler in baseball or STAY AWAY

THEREFORE PLAYING PARLAYS IN BASEBALL WITH LOW MONEY CAN BE VERY PROFITABLE....especially in true odds payouts.

In Football selections have to be much more scrutinized. Baseball, just being an EVERY DAY PLAYER can be profitable......especially if you wager over 1500 plays a season. I wager over 1500 plays a season. Mine are in parlays though

Just my wisdom NEWPORT

One more point about Baseball

I have seen a great many men broken by coming into baseball and trying to slam one or two games that look like LOCKS of the YEAR....and then they were selling their cars to pay their debts.

Football is a load up sport....You can jump on one or two games and walk with 5 dimes in a heartbeat.

Baseball, you better play the entire board, and losts of plays to protect one's interest, this is exactly why being a daily gambler for all 162 games and playoffs is the way to make money in bases

I disagree somewhat - betting too many games in baseball doesnt give you enough time to get all the facts, and at least to me there is no way to process accurately all of the available info when betting many games.

Well JAYPAW

You and I will not agree

See I am a BASEBALL GAMBLER

Not a BASEBALL ENTHUSIAST

See a baseball enthusiast is following strikes and balls, and averages....and all that baseball stuff...well that is great if you enjoy it. I follow Football that way sometimes.

BUT BASEBALL GAMBLING IS ALL ABOUT BEATING THE LINESMAKER.......not x's and o's

There is not a sport where more DOGS win outright then BASEBALL....enough said.

If they were supposed to be favorites....then why did the linesmaker make them a dog.....They have to...to keep the book safe.

I agree that the goal of being a gambler at any sport is to beat the book

but I'm sure you aren't seriously blindly advocating the picking of games out of a hat.

We all know how that can work out - see co-cap...

I would consider challenging that notion with a hat picking contest vs my picks for the rest of the season...

would certainly be interesting

You are right I used that phrase loosely and the point I am really making is that yes of course we are all trying to beat the book

But there is a difference between beating the book, and beating the linesmaker. All books get there lines somewhere. The point is in baseball, the lines mean less then any other sport...so along with good due diligence, winning in baseball is done in quantity and looking for the MANY line errors
