Pretty much a break even day yesterday going 3-3 -0.72 units splitting out the 2* plays. No dogs come up today for me...just chalk! Very much looking to get on some sort of streak to cut into this deficit I built up, so really cutting down on the plays and narrowing them down to one's I feel are the strongest. We'll see....

Record second half: 46-46 -25.70 units

3* Yankees -180 (Hernandez only)

*El Duque takes the mound tonight for the Yanks who are going for their fifth series win out of the last six. On the other hand the Lone Rangers have won only one series in their last five. Hernandez has been pitching great ball his L/4 outings 22IP/3ER and the Yankees overall are 5-0 in all of his starts this year!! I realize TX has been a great home team this year, but feel they are running out of gas down this last stretch of the season and will fade out. Clearly the Yankees are the more dominant team here and should get the money tonight. Picking up Erickson for TX seemed like a desperation move to me. He's way past his prime and I can't see the Yanks losing to a guy bouncing from team to team in the same year. He pitched bad for the Mets earlier this season. Don't see much difference with TX.*

1* Astros -138 (Pettite only)

*Astros going for the series today with Pettite. They won a close one last night and feel momentum carries over early today. Hitters are just hitting .171 against Pettite on the road and he posted a 5-0 victory LY with the Yanks here at Shea. He knows this city and he knows how to pitch here and feel he get the job done today. I know it's Zambrano's first home start for the Mets, but he didn't pitch well at all in that first game. His numbers actually dating back with TB aren't well at all 19.4IP/11ER/20H and 15 walks his L/4 outings!!! I like Houston again today!*

1* A's -200 (Hudson only)

*This is about as borderline as I get with laying big chauk the rest of the way. Runline could be good, but want to play it safe since the the A's won 5-4 in the first game. Huddy goes for Oakland tonight in his second start back from the DL. Eventhough he was a little hurt before he's pitched pretty damn well in his L/4 outings 28.1IP/7ER and he sports a 4-0 record at home with a 1.34 ERA! Scheduled starter for DET is Maroth who sports a 3-7 5.99 ERA on the road which one of those losses was to the A's earlier this year. Hitters are hitting .308 off him on the road as well. The A's are 4-1 their L/5 series and the DET is 1-4 their L/5 series. Going with the more consistant team to get the series in this one!*

1* Twins -185 (Santana only)

*Ok...this sh*t stops tonight! Seattle taking the first two games in the series was impressive , but sweeping would be asking a little too much in my opinion. As we all know, Santana has been awsome lately 27.1IP/7ER/14H and the Twinkies are 5-0 L/5 when he takes the hill. Hitters are just hitting .198 against him on the road. Santana beat this team and shut them down this year already and see him being that "stepping up" pitcher tonight and stopping this little losing streak. The only thing that makes me nervous is "revenge" for SEA as they got swept at MINNY earlier this year, so they may very well sweep the Twins right outta Seattle, BUT Santana is the x-factor for me in this one.*

1* Angels -160 (Colon only)

*Ok..this Colon guy has been on fire! Totally reversed his season this year and is pitching very well and up to the standard the Angels expected 26IP/7ER L/4 outings! The Halos are also 6-0 overall his L/4 starts. Lately the team has just been stepping up when he takes the hill and I see it continuing tonight as they go for the series win against the O's. Yeah the O's have been hot, but they were brought back down to reality last night. Angels have won 4/5 series and looking to make it 5/6 after tonight.*

Well, hit another Top Play today, but lost profit again because of the small plays...very frustrating! Looks like I'm going to have to start cutting down even more now...maybe just try to stick with one Top Play per day....seems like my higher rated plays have been doing really well, but the small plays have been hurting me....
