Time for my home team to snap out of the monster funk they've been in this week. Tomko's numbers have been horrible of late (7.87 ERA/1.812 WHIP) and he's averaging only 5 2/3 innings per start. Turn it over to the Giants bullpen sporting a woeful 5.20 ERA and an equally woeful 1.686 WHIP on the road and in an offensive park like Citizens Bank the Phils should get plenty of offense today. Padilla has been good against the Giants (2.89 ERA/1.285 WHIP) and the Phils are 3-1 vs the Giants in his starts. He's also pitched well now that he's been off the DL awhile (3.37 ERA/1.125 WHIP L3 starts) so he should be able to keep the Giants bats in check.

I really like the Phils offense to put up at least 5.5 runs on the board so I am playing that one as a 2 unit and the Phils as a one unit. It may be a homer play but the numbers are there to support them getting out of the rut they are in.

I wanted to add Tomko's numbers against the Phils are not very good (5.19 ERA/1.462 WHIP).

I also know Bell and Thome are out of the lineup but this team should still be able to put up runs against a porous SF pitching staff.

IS no he's out with a contusion on his shoulder. He'll be back in the lineup on Tuesday (hopefully).

1-0 Phils but we seem to be running into Cy Tomko today (that and this lineup has been horrible leaving men on base today).

Excuses are like noses...everybody has one.

Phils suck. Almost played them today but got lucky and didn't.

I'm sick of this team. I should've known better than to think they would step up against Batting Practice Tomko. Useless arguing by Bowa, popups on the infield with runners in scoring position and less than 2 out and Padilla getting mad at the ump.

What a nice waste of money today.

No Bell and no Thome didn't help. Anytime Glanville bats 2nd you know it's not a very good lineup. Ugh this week has been frustrating. No wonder everyone is chanting E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!
