You know what would have been cool?

If, when the Orioles were down 7-2, I said to someone, "oh, they'll come back, you watch!" and then they said back, "oh, yeah, wanna bet?"

Instead, I moped around my apartment like a 10 yr. old whose dog just got hit by a car. Thinking of the 3 dimes I dropped on this stupid F-in' game! I took a walk outside, kicked imaginary pebbles on the sidewalk. I'll quit gambling, I thought. Think of all the great things I could do in the time I would save scouring sports information websites and forums. I'll start reading again...the classics--Dickens, Conrad, Fitzgerald. Yes, and working out? Everyday, not just three. Volunteer work? Ok, I haven't reached rock bottom yet so let's hold off on that one, ok guy? Then...

I booted up the laptop. Instinctively I punched up MLB.com. There it was: 7-7 Orioles and Jays. I blinked a couple of times. Yes, 7-7...wait, now 11-7!

I'm back, baby! Who's got the best bonuses for foots? Where's that thread....

So whats the cool thing?

With that mentality you be broke by week 2 anyway....betting 3 dimes on one game that would have been your last bet????

Time to rehink your approach...
