YTD 72-77 +29.76

Toronto +187 (pinny)

Lowes blister may be good enough - but Youkillus is probably gonna be out from the play at the plate yesterday - which means one of the scrubs will play 2nd.

Found this at covers.com:

Blue Jays at Red Sox

Chalk, glorious chalk. Boston is actually -200 in this one, despite Derek Lowe (5.47 ERA) taking the mound. Justin Miller (4.38 ERA) has been serviceable for Toronto when healthy, plus he’s got the tattoos working.

Here’s the rub, though: Toronto is uncharacteristically mailing it in. The Jays have lost 10 of their last 12, albeit to relatively strong competition. The Roy Halladay injury was deflating, as was the firing of Carlos Tosca. Still, we’re talking Derek Lowe here.

SG’s Fearless Final Score: Jays 7, BoSox 5

Funny - who does this sound like?

Hey Jaypaw...have you been following those picks at cover.com? How have they done this year or are they just one of those win 50/50 win type sites? Again thanks for all of that FLA/LA info...should be a good tight game with the home team hopefully winning.

I was actually gonna just ask the question to people here on the forum

I have no idea what that dudes record is or if he is a quack or what

I do know that with you kapusta and that dude on the dodgers than it must be worth a look.

I posted a bunch of articles and stuff in your thread on the dodgers - but I'm still looking for that "kicker" in order to pull the trigger

I'll find it if I look hard enough (if its there...)

they win going away?

based on what? If they win "going away" then why not lay the chalk?

What exactly are you saying?

I think that with lowe as shaky as he is - AND with the blister - that there is a very good chance that he could have a bad game and give up many runs. I also think that the bullpen can collapse at any time (see last night among others) with the injuries they are dealing with.

The Jays have not been great lately winning only 4 out of their last 14 games - however, they managed to log one win at yankee stadium, 2 (of 7) vs the surging cleveland club and one of three vs baltimore. Miller, who has been injured for most of the season has been working himself back to strength and in his last outing (his first start since being back from injury) he went 4.1 innings and allowed 2 runs (he earned no decision but the team lost 3-2...). The outing before that was his first back from injury and he appeared in 2.2 innings of relief allowing only 1 earned run vs the yankees (after douglass collpsed in the 3rd). Point being he has shown that he is steadily improving since coming back from the injury - something which lowe cannot notch on his belt of accomplishments.

In fact the only games lowe has won in his last 11 outings his team has given him no less than NINE runs... So I would say this - if the sox can gaurentee 9 runs every night that lowe pitches then I would not bet against him. But especially now with youkillus out and gutierrez having to fill in at second with mueller moving over to 3rd I would say that nine runs looks much less likely than does a lowe loss.

Wouldn't you agree?

first i would not lay the chalk because i dont lay that with any pitcher on the mound
secondly the jays stink...they have no bullpen and since i dont think that miller will give them a complete game ..i believe that boston wins ...but as i said i would bet the over ( given your views on lowe and my view on the jays)....since you will take the jays best of luck and i hope for a 8-6 game
best of luck
cheers

I agree about the chalk - I hate to lay chalk and its really paid off betting 95+% dogs for me.

The jays do suck - and the over might be the best bet of anything... I'll see what I can get for a price on that and I may jump on it

Thanks for pointing that out - I usually don't play totals but every now and then it can be a nice way to make some dough

GL to you too

Maybe, in light of this, Tor 1st 5 was a play,
esp if at +190.

I love to see roberts in this lineup - he cant hit for shit... somehow he does get on base once and a while and they say he used to be a good #1 guy - but I dont see how they put mueller at the end of the lineup with cabrera and roberts up top before manny/ortiz

a little flo info for you sir

MARLINS PROBABLE STARTER: Carl Pavano (12-5, 3.11 ERA). Pavano allowed just one run and six hits in Wednesday's 1-0 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals, snapping a three-start winning streak. The right-hander has won nine of his last 12 decisions. He is 4-1 with a 2.39 ERA in nine career appearances, including eight starts, against the Dodgers - his second-best ERA against any NL team.

DODGERS PROBABLE STARTER: Weaver (10-10, 3.78 ERA). Weaver is 0-1 with a 2.57 ERA in two career starts against the Marlins. He allowed a game-winning 12th-inning homer to Florida's Alex Gonzalez in Game 4 of last year's World Series. It was the first of three straight wins for the Marlins as they took beat the Yankees in six games.

noothing special on the game, just liked a lot of dogs tonight, plus been breaking down my system of plays and flo came up as a good play.

like i said nothing special.

had a great weekend away, looking forward to some big wins tonight.
