Minnesota +1.20 over TEXAS
Chan Ho Park returns after being on the rack for the past three months. Seems like he's been on the rack for three years. Dude just hasn’t been the same since he left the Dodgers and this venue has been particularly difficult on him. At the Ballpark in Arlington, since he joined the team, Park’s home ERA is 6.44. He's 12-15 with a 6.00 ERA in 40 starts with Texas, with five trips to the DL. Right after signing with the Rangers, Park missed two months because of two DL stints (hamstring strain and blistered finger). He finished 9-8 with a 5.75 ERA in 25 starts. Last year, Park was limited to seven starts (1-3, 7.58 ERA) due to lower back problems. The Rangers are scrambling for starting pitching and if they had a few healthy bodies Chan Ho Park wouldn’t be pitching tonight. Twins are sizzling right now and when we can take back a tag on a hot team against a pitcher of this caliber then you can instantly pencil us in. Play Minnesota +1.20 (Risking 1.5 units).

Detroit +1.70 over BOSTON
Isn’t this about the time of year when the Red Sox hit a brick wall? Whatever the case may be it doesn’t change the fact that this price is completely out of whack. Bronson Arroyo wouldn't be our first choice if we chose to lay heavy lumber, in fact he might be our last. A review of his season reveals that Arroyo didn’t pick up his first win until his sixth start of the year when he beat the Blue Jays. He picked up his second win eight starts later after losing six in a row and receiving two no decisions. Arroyo has five wins in 21 starts (one of his wins came in relief). He has a 2-5 record at Fenway with a 5.27 ERA. In his last two starts, both against the White Sox, he allowed eight earned runs in 12.2 innings. He has yet to record consecutive wins all year. Jason Johnson is hit and miss. We’ve seen him dazzle and just breeze through games and we’ve seen him get knocked out early on a few occasions. He definitely has the talent but his focus is sometimes off. However, he seems to always bring it against this foe and in fact, in his career against Boston, Johnson is 4-6 with a 3.52 ERA. Price here has heavy influence on our choice and if your looking for true value you need not look further then this game. Overlay. Play Detroit +1.70 (Risking 1.5 units).
