It's Pavano vs. Wood in game 1. Wood hasn't been all that good lately except for a shutout his last game but that was against Montreal.

Pavano has been a big favorite in his games with the exception of being and underdog to Weaver and the Dodgers.

My money will be on the Marlins.

The only thing that scares me away from Pavano is his record against Florida, and the record that Wood has against Florida.

Pavano 0-1, 3.86 vs CHI in 2003
1-3, 4.37 vs CHI lifetime

Wood 2-0, 0.50vs FLA in 2003
4-0, 1.85 vs FLA lifetime

For what it's worth.........

Pavano is 10-1 this year on the road.

Wood is 2-3 at home.

Got Florida @ +140 w/ my book, good luck to us!

Prior is going up against a single-A pitcher in game 2. Pavano has been owned by the Cubby hitters, but the Fish know they need the first one considering the uphill battle in game 2.

I am sorry for using the "R" word - and NOTHING EL

agree on G2 - but the way the cubs/prior have been going lately, if the fish win G1 i'll be back on the fish for about a 1/2 unit play figuring i am playing with house money on that one.

not a bad call, Cubs finding ways to self-destruct and Fish are playing like last year.
I can't back Kensing, but the way Prior's been pitching he's certainly not worth a big tag either. If the wind cooperates, this could be a big over.
