MLB : 2* PHILADELPHIA

Paul Wilson was supposed o be an All-Star. The right-hander was 9-2 by the break but wasn’t chosen for the team. Wilson needed just 1 win to match his career-high and he’s still looking for that win. The Reds have lost 8 straight with Wilson who has dropped 4 straight decisions allowing 26 runs on 33 hits thru 17 IP.

The Reds split a 4-game set against Milwaukee over the weekend but they’ve lost 12 of their last 16 games.

The Phillies haven’t yet given up their WC dreams and a 6 game win streak will go a long way to keep those hopes alive. Philly has won 9 of their last 10 games. They are also 25-9 against teams winning between .380% and .460% of their games this season.

Rookie Gavin Floyd makes his 3rd start for the Phils tonight and in his 2 games the right-hander has been decent, 1-0 (Philly has won both) with a 1.64 ERA.
