Twice burned, you’re out or something liken’ that. I don’t rightly remember, I’ll have to ask Mary. We’re all Democrats except little Mary, she learned to read. How many times have I sworn up and down NOT to take the RL, what’d I do, took the RL in the Houston game. 2 to 1 Houston. Lost all my money that I had earmarked for a new spring wardrobe for Lug Nut, now she’ll just have to use her scissors.
Today’s pick will be the Phillys over Montreal, this time on the ML
Phillys over the Expo’s on the ML, 110 to win 50.
I know the pitcher**
It’s raining up here in New Hamshire, (they must have a lot of pig farms up here, named the state after a ham), and they had to cancel the pole run and postpone practice. Doesn’t set up good with me nor the drivers. So we had some time on our hands, went looking for our favorite restaurant, the one with the gas pump in front of it, but evidently it ain’t a chain, so Mark and I ended having a great lunch at this here bowlin’ alley. Mark was all dressed up in his best leather jacket, had a big ol’ advertisement on back and was just a shinnin’ from the Armor All he used to clean it up. I had my best bib and tucker on, brand new overalls and a used cap I bought on the way up here, says “babymaker” on the front bill. Lug Nut had her best shoes on, the ones with the steel toes, and looked real good her tank top the Salvation Army left off at the house, guess they were feelin’ sorry for us. After we ate, well all went down to the Waffle House for some slow dancin’and also accepted an invitation we found on the bathroom wall at the restaurant.
All in all it was a good night but Mark had to get to bed early, gotta race ya know. I just can’t get used to these motel rooms, can’t sleep unless I got more than 5 animals on the bed with me.
Don’t forget, tomorrow will be the Sylvania race up here, keep Mark a goin’ .He needs all the support he can get. Talk to you’all later.
(**The pitcher, Vincente Padilla and my wife’s daughter know each other from school in Chinindega Nicaragua. I’ve meet the guy, nice kid.) This is true.
