I'll be looking more at this game this week.

my opening lean is to CLEMSON.

doesn't GA have some suspensions for this game?

You name it, and Georgia has problems with it!

They have suspensions, injuries and an offensive line that has just three starts COMBINED! They have talent for sure, but they would have to be favored by less than three points for me to take them.

Don't worry, Pete, it won't be long before Georgia is favored by less than 3.

GA lost it's 3rd defensive starter when DE Will Thompson dislocated his ankle. Also without starters S Curry, DT Veal, and S Blue who was to replace Curry. 3 other DBs are suspended.

CLEMSON is my play, just need to decide how much.

Even with their current problems, Georgia is still at least a touchdown better than Clemson. Georgia returns a potent offense with most of their key players back. Clemson will have to put up some points to keep it close.

As a long time fan of Clemson football, I have to believe that this game will fall into the long line of home field disappointments VS. ranked opponents. Honestly, I can't remember the last home win against a Top 25 team. I don't see much improvement in the offensive line or the defense from last year. Clemson will hang close for the most part, eventually losing by 7-10 points.

I'm sure some of you thought you got rid of me for good - but I'm back for more I suppose.

Where do ya'll want me to start about UGA? I can type 20 pages on 'em and not tell you everything. I would either play Clemson on the money line or nothing at all 'cause Georgia has too many unknowns. I wouldn't really recommend a play at all on this one, however. Georgia could win by 10-17 points or lose by the same margin. UGA has 9 defensive players out for this game due to injuries and suspensions. They are starting a brand new offensive line and lost Musa Smith (RB) to the pros.

Clemson has everything to play for, primarily Tommy's job, and they'll throw the kitchen sink at the Dawgs. I see plenty of 4 wides coming at UGA with some sprint draws to keep the LBs honest and not dropping into the flats. Defensively, Clemson won't scare my local high school team, so Georgia will score.

I see the edge being with the coaching. Richt at UGA has all the karma and the confidence to coach his way out of just about anything (see his record on opponent's home fields...hint: he's never lost there). DC Brian Van Gorder is as bad ass as they come and can make adjustments better than your local certified Lexus mechanic. Georgia has a wonderful team chemistry and seems to have the right attitude in facing adversity and becoming stronger as a team. The Dawgs just need to hit the field and forget about the offseason that produced nearly nothing but crappy news.

This game is one of those fun ones to watch and get to know what to expect in the coming weeks. It's a huge rivalry and anything can happen in those situations. It'll be hotter than hell in Death Valley next Saturday at noon, so somebody keep the beer cold for me until after the game.

Nice to be back, and let me know if I can help any of you out.
