Here is tonights selection, Happy Thanksgiving to all

This is not a home game for Duke. In fact, it's about as far away from North Carolina as you can get Anchorage, Alaska!!! Both these teams are 1-0 and failed to cover the spread in their only contests. The Pacific Tigers have the big bodies to throw at Duke with 6'-9" sophomore Christian Maraker (11.3 ppg, 6.1 rpg last season), and newcomers 6’-8” junior Guillaume Yango and 6'-10" junior Tyler Newton, who played well in the opener. Pacific needed overtime to beat San Jose State, 76-65, as Yango had 11 rebounds and Maraker had 14 points. But the team shot just 41%. Duke will run the court, as usual, and Pacific has a good guard who is an explosive scorer in 6'-0" senior Miah Davis. Still, the Tigers were 3-11 SU on the road (5-8-1 ATS) last year where they averaged just 63.4 ppg. Duke didn't look good in the opener, beating Detroit 67-56. The big story was 6'-8" freshman Luol Deng who had 21 points and 8 rebounds. Remember this young Duke team was a poor 3-6 SU/ATS on the road last season, take the points in this one tonight!!!

i know i will catch some hell for saying this - but as someone who follows the big west and UOP - bob thomasson is a BETTER coach then duke's coach k. i look for the tigers to get a relatively easy cover here.

Coach K is the biggest phony ever, when the camera isnt on him every other word is the F word.

Why is everybody all over Pacific tonight. Duke struggled against a halfway decent Detroit team in opener. UOP needed OT to dispose of an absolutely horrible San Jose St. team? If I take it, I'm on Duke, not UOP.

Winky, you carry the flag for all things Big West and Pacific Coast, but comparing Thomason to Coach K is a joke. Thomason had 2 all conference players last year, and his team wasn't a factor in the Big West. He's not close to even being the best coach in the conference (I'd take Bob Williams, Morrill or Douglass over him). He's won the Big West 1 time in 15 years (with M. Olowakandi) and even then could not win a game in the Big Dance. So, it's pretty ridiculous to claim that he's better than a guy who has won it all.

have coach k coach duke and thomasson coach UOP for 1 game - then switch the sides.

i PROMISE YOU when thomasson coaches duke - the score will be a bigger rout then when coach k does. i will give you morrill and douglass being top-rate coaches - but not williams. last season he had the best team in conference - and as is usually the case - loses to teams he has no biz losing to.

Douglass is way overrated, the guy hasnt landed a recruit in 3 years at CalIrvine, he inherited Jerry Green, he cant get past the semis of the confrence tournament, way overrated, and overrated as a game coach, UOP goes into the Bren center every year and Douglass never has them ready.

Coach K is a big whiner, his former assistants all suck as head coaches. I agree with Winky, UOP has the better coach. Duke has a monopoly on black suburban kids, only reason K wins.
