I'm giving my wife a trip to Vegas for Christmas.

We've been before and stayed at Treasure Island and the Monte Carlo.

But, would like to give her the best....

My wife is only 31, but is a survivor of breast cancer. I will always splurge when it comes to her, from now on. So,

I was considering Paris, Bellagio, (Venetian is sold out for the dates we are going) or Aladdin

Anyone have any recommendations?

Action,

It depends on what you want. If you want to stay on the strip....Bellagio is the best. If you want to get off the beaten path...Green Valley Ranch is very nice.

Whatever you do, you should avoid Aladdin at all costs. It is an absolute hole.
Don't waste your time.
For my money, The Mirage has been my favorite.
I believe as nice as Bellagio in every way.
It is only missing some of the ultra snooty people.
The Bellagio is very elegant though. If that is what you are after, and if Venecian is not available, I would only consider Bellagio or Mandalay Bay.

As a Bears fan, its hard for me to agree with anything "PACKER" but I have to agree with him on this one. The Mirage is very nice but the Venetian is the best hotel I've ever been in.

"Westward Ho!" Gotta love it. That's where me and my boys stay when we are in town for March Madness. Walk next door to Stardust and gamble for four days straight!

The Bellagio is plush but i have been going to lvegas for the past 11 yrs for the superbowl and have stayed at the bellagio -mirage - venetian. I still say the Mirage is the best joint it is a place where you feel like your home!! This year my free stay will be at the Paris joint .Any feedback on the Paris hotel??

first of all congrats to your wife -- my mother is a survivor as well -- now every mothers day we spend it together on the walk for the cure --very inspirational!!!

back to vegas...

for women i think ceasars is the best she could spend a week in the shops and not be fulfilled, and take her to see "the show" in vegas right now celine at ceasars.

Action - I'd avoid Aladdin simply because of what they did to the guy who hit their scam parlay card. (See RX news from a couple of weeks ago). I believe they may be in Chapter 11 as well. I stayed at Paris this past March. - had a "Calais Suite". It was very nice with a dead on view of Bellagio fountains. Nice place but the "Ooh La La!!! and Oui Oui's" got old after a while. I'd recommend a "Palace Tower " room at Caesars or anything at Mandalay Bay. Only drawback to Mandalay is the location - extreme south strip. Email me and let me know some specifics on what you're looiking for. Nick... nickhoagland@yahoo.com

I think the Mandalay Bay is the place for the IN crowd. I prefer Paris. Nicer location Handier to other casinos.

If you are going several days before Christmas, you can get some real bargains on rooms even at the very best places. Town is very quiet around the 15th to 22nd. If this happens to be your dates be sure to ask about special prices. Also... some of the most popular shows take time off right before the holidays so you need to plan for that.
If you are going right at Christmas, then all bets are off on any discounts. Very high prices leading up tp New Years.

first off the guy that says the mirage is as nice as bellagio is on drugs, but if you wanna say that mirage is more cozy and comfortable feeling yes this is true, it all depends what you guys like, bellagio is why high class and huge, mirage is way more layed back and easy going and nice, but i think getting a water view room at bellagio is the way to go,for what it is worth!
