Doe's anyone play the first inning prop of whether or not a run will score in the first inning. Gamblers Avenue has this type of wager, not sure who else does.

The statistics for games in July so far is out of 215 games, 117 have had a run score in the first inning, 55%. I would of thought the opposite as it is harder to score a run than not to.

Just wondering if anyone out there has been profitable playing this type of wager.

I´m no pro but i have looked at that prop. before and think it´s pretty much like lotto. And when it´s pretty easy to predict (like two really bad pitchers vs great batters) its line isn´t profitable.

Well i don´t know but it may be fun to bet sometimes, but i don´t know if it´s good to bet if you want to win in the long run.

Can be fun. Another good one is team to score first. Bet against Atl.

Couple of things to consider on 1st inning runs being scored:

Obviously both teams will be sending the top of the order to the plate. Also some pitchers need to get into the groove of the game to be effective. Look for sinkerballers as they tend to throw TOO HARD in the first few innings..which dosen't allow their stuff to sink as much and they sometimes tend to leave stuff up in the zone. Another thing I like to look at is many parks have daytime shadows that can effect the batters. Just like any other wager..you can find value in some situations.

Good luck
