This guy used to be automatic to play unders with. His record from '97 up thru last year was an incredible 62-116 under/over. And his strikeout to walk ratio was one of the highest of all umps over that time period (2.37). This year he's 16-11 on the OVER. The strikeout to walk ratio with him behind the plate is the lowest it's ever been (1.85).
My question is - Is it because of Questech? Has MLB singled him out to shrink his strikezone? Has he actually consciously changed his strikezone? Or is this just normal fluctuation of random occurrences? I really would like to know. He is really costing me some big shlmolies this year!!
