Anyone Ever Use MicroBrothers WinPicks Software

I was curious if anyone had any experience with this software.

I was thinking it might be kind of fun to try it and make your own modifications, since they say it is easily modifiable, rather than creating a spreadsheet or database from scratch. I might do that when I retire...

The ads and descriptions for it at microbrothers are not so outrageous to make it obviously a joke.

On the other hand when I look at some trend/angle stuff my eyes glaze over and I think about things like small sample sizes, using past numerical results to predict future results when an oddly shaped ball (or even a round ball for God's sake) and non-quantifiable human conditions are involved...and how boring games might become if we get to enamoured with number crunching in lieu of other tools.

I have it and enjoy the product. You are right about the human factor being the most important, which no programs can predict. But from a number crunching angle or angleS, as you can set your own numbers for lots of things, it's hard to beat. I think the Pro Football is the best of the programs ,because it can use regressive analysis and recrunch the numbers "a zillion ways"--called "surelock". Won't get you rich, but a good tool. Best so see it for yourself as everyone will have a different opinion.

i believe they let you download a free version that has data for past seasons only. A nice offer to try it out and see if it works for you.

Personally I do not use becuase it is not as flexible as I would have liked.

I bought it last year and thought it was worth the 40 or 50 dollars it cost.Like old man says it won't get you rich but it is good for crunching numbers.I bought the college and pro football.I thought the pro was better than the college.Lots of stats and trends on there even if you just wanted to use it for that.It comes with three formulas programed in it the rest is up to you.Will take some time but you will develop some decent formulas but I wouldn't make my plays only based on that.A quick download and your database is updated.Imo it is a good resource to have.

I use it everday when Handicapping the N.B.A
Great for checking out various trends and situations .
For me the number 1 feature is its Power ratings.
Used it last year and managed 55% ats and ov/un and its working well again this year.
Exellent support if you have any problems,they always respond within 24 hours.
